Job Description The Security Researcher will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in software, systems, and infrastructure, analyzing exploits and malware, studying new attack techniques, and proposing effective countermeasures. They will collaborate with teams to help protect customers and develop advanced internal knowledge.
Main responsibilities
- Research and analyze vulnerabilities in applications, operating systems, firmware, IoT devices, or cloud infrastructures.
- Conduct malware analysis, exploit research, and advanced offensive techniques.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and tools to test vulnerabilities and improve system security.
- Collaborate with internal teams to propose solutions and mitigations.
- Participate in drafting technical reports and scientific documentation, sharing internal or public discoveries.
- Stay up to date with the latest attack techniques, security research tools, and trends in the cybersecurity landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or equivalent experience in the field.
- Experience in vulnerability analysis, reverse engineering, malware analysis, or advanced penetration testing.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), networking, protocols, and software architectures.
- Ability to program or script (e.g., Python, C/C++, Bash, PowerShell).
- Strong analytical skills and aptitude for solving complex problems.
- Good command of English and Italian, both written and spoken.
NICE TO HAVE
- Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSWE, eJPT, CEH, GPEN).
- Experience in exploit development, fuzzing, bug hunting, or application security.
- Participation in CTF, open-source projects, or security research communities.
- Knowledge of advanced obfuscation techniques, vulnerability mitigation, or cloud security.
