Job Description
As aData Protection Specialist / Backup Systems Engineer, you will be involved in enterprise projects based on theCommvault Cloudplatform andcyber-resilience solutions, working with clients in the enterprise, healthcare, and public sector.
You will become part of complex infrastructure environments, contributing to the design, management, and optimization ofbackup, disaster recovery, and data protection systems, with an increasing focus on resilience against ransomware attacks.
Main responsibilities
Installation, configuration, and management ofCommvault solutions.
Implementation and management ofbackup, restore, and disaster recovery systems.
Management of virtualized environments (VMware / Hyper-V / Nutanix).
Data protection in environments:
- on-premises
- cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP)
- hybrid
Configuringbackup, retention, and replication policies.
Support forcyber-resilience and ransomware recovery projects.
Troubleshootingdata protection infrastructure.
Second- and third-level technical support.
Preparation oftechnical documentation and operating procedures.
Mandatory technical requirements
Experience withenterprise backupsolutions (preferably Commvault, Veeam, Rubrik, or NetBackup).
Good knowledge ofWindows Server and Linux.
Experience with virtualization environments:
- VMware vSphere
- Hyper-V
- Nutanix(plus)
Knowledge ofenterprise storage(SAN / NAS / Object Storage).
Knowledge of the main protocols:
- iSCSI
- NFS
- SMB
Basic knowledge ofnetworking(VLANs, routing, firewalls).
Experience withActive Directory environments.
Understanding of the key concepts of:
- Disaster Recovery
- Business Continuity
- Immutable backup
- Ransomware protection
Preferred qualifications (Nice to have)
Direct experience withCommvault Cloud / Metallic / HyperScale.
Commvault Certifications.
VMware / Microsoft / Linux certifications.
Experience in thehealthcare, public administration, and enterprise sectors.
Experience with cloud environments:
- Azure
- AWS
- Google Cloud
Knowledge of regulations and standards:
- ISO 27001
- NIS2
- GDPR
- ACN/AgID Guidelines
Excellent command of the Italian language

Required level of experience
Junior:at least 1–2 years of experience in systems administration and backup.
Mid:3–5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure.
